Credit Union West Donates $8K to Arizona Pet Project at Buckeye Grand Opening
Buckeye, AZ — Credit Union West celebrated their new branch in Buckeye with a donation to local nonprofit organization, Arizona Pet Project, at their grand opening event. The event brought together members of the community including the Buckeye and Glendale Chambers of Commerce.
To kick off the festivities, the credit union invited JROTC students from Buckeye Union High School to perform a presentation of the colors. The event featured speeches from President and CEO of Credit Union West, Karen Roch, and Chamber of Commerce members welcoming the credit union to the new area.
“We’re thrilled to be in our new location in Buckeye,” said Roch. “A lot of work went into creating this space for our members and we're excited to grow our presence in the West Valley.”
As part of the celebration, Credit Union West was proud to present a donation check for $8,658.30 to the Arizona Pet Project, a local organization that connects families in crisis with services and resources to prevent the unnecessary surrender of their pets. The donation was part of the credit union’s 2025 EmployeesCARE Program, which is fully funded by Credit Union West employee donations and awards dollars to four recipients chosen by staff each year. The CU West CARES Charitable Foundation matched the donations made by employees to make even more of an impact.
The Arizona Pet Project was chosen for their important work supporting vulnerable community members and their beloved companions.
The new branch is conveniently located at 20650 W Roosevelt Street, Suite 108 in Buckeye in the newly built Buckeye Commons. For more details about the new branch and special offers, visit cuwest.org/buckeye.
