We are temporarily closing our branch lobbies in Maricopa and Yavapai Counties. 
Credit Union West is closely monitoring recommendations and will provide ongoing updates.

Protecting Members & Employees During the COVID-19 Outbreak

 

 

To support our communities and the fight against community spread of COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our branch lobbies effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. We hope taking these steps will help minimize the impact for our employees, members, and the communities we serve.

In keeping with the “President’s Coronavirus Guidelines for America” initiative, we are taking precautions to protect those we serve. We understand the impact that this may have on our membership but would like to assure you that we have many options available to help you access and manage your accounts.

As we navigate through this challenging time together, we want to assure you that we’re doing all that we can to meet your needs. The credit union industry has a long history of assisting its members in times of need, and this is no exception. We are a financially strong organization, backed by the full strength of the NCUA. We also understand that there may be instances where you or your family may be facing financial difficulties. We encourage you to reach out and discuss how we might be of assistance. 
 

ONLINE & MOBILE BANKING

Many of the transactions that you’d normally complete in a branch can be done through Online & Mobile Banking. You have access to check balances, transfer funds, pay bills, and even access to your credit score. Sign in online, or download our Mobile App to get started. 

BRANCH ATM ACCESS

You’re welcome to visit one of our branch locations to use the ATM for cash withdrawals and/or cash or check deposits. Each branch location has at least one ATM that accepts deposits. Locate an ATM near you. Also, we are temporarily waiving Credit Union West’s ATM fees that you would normally incur from using a Non-Credit Union West ATM. So now, you have expanded options for getting cash quick.

BRANCH DEPOSITORY DROP BOX

Skip the Drive-Thru line and make secure deposits with our branch depository drop box. We have increased processing throughout the day for convenient transactions at all of our branch locations.

Deposits Are Safe in Federally Insured Credit Unions

 

Federally insured credit unions offer a safe place for members to save money. All deposits at federally insured credit unions are protected by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, with deposits insured up to at least $250,000 per individual depositor. Additional information on NCUA share insurance coverage for consumers is available at MyCreditUnion.gov.


Remain Vigilant Against COVID-19-Related Scams. 


We also like to remind individuals to remain vigilant against scams related to the Coronavirus. Cyber actors may send emails with malicious attachments or links to fraudulent websites to trick victims into revealing sensitive information or donating to fraudulent charities or causes. Exercise caution in handling any email with a COVID-19-related subject line, attachment, or hyperlink, and be wary of social media pleas, texts, or calls related to COVID-19. Visit NCUA’s Fraud Prevention Center for more information about frauds and scams, including how to report a scam.

Protecting our employees and members from the potential spread of Coronavirus COVID-19 is a top priority at Credit Union West. We are monitoring the latest information and guidance from the Federal Government, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), as well as local government updates so that we can keep you informed.

 

What We Are Doing

 

We're taking precautions to protect our members and employees, and are following the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines to appropriately respond to this public health threat. These include:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Stay home when you're sick.
  • Wash or sanitize your hands often. This is especially important after using an ATM. 

We also would like to share a few options that may help you during this time:

  • We encourage you to take advantage of our 24/7 online services. With Mobile and Online Banking you can check balances, make payments, transfer funds, deposit checks, apply for loans or find the nearest ATM.
  • As always, our Member Call Center and branch team members will be available to serve you.
  • We’ve added some extra steps for our branch team members, such as daily cleaning procedures for high-touch surfaces and have provided additional guidance according to CDC best practices recommendations. We have also asked our team members to stay home if they are sick and follow the CDC’s Health Tips.
