The only Certificate type that allows additional deposits are Youth Certificates. All other Certificate types do not allow additional deposits once the Certificate has been opened. When it is up for renewal at the end of the term, you may then add additional funds.

Yes, we also offer IRA Certificates to save for retirement. IRA Certificates typically earn a higher return than regular Certificates.

Promotional Certificates - All funds must be new money. Certificate must be opened online. $500 minimum deposit required. The total combined balance of all promotional certificates under a single member cannot exceed $250,000. Promotional rate cannot be applied to existing certificates. Offer good for the initial term only. Upon maturity, all promotional certificates will automatically renew closest to but not exceeding the current term of the certificate, unless Credit Union West is notified within the 7-day grace period of the maturity date. Promotional certificates will not renew to a different promotional term or rate. For example, a 9-month promotional certificate of deposit will roll into a 6-month certificate of deposit upon maturity. Promotion subject to change or end without notice.
